Ακόμη ένα «φιτίλι» σε μια περιοχή με οριακές ισορροπίες άναψε το πρωί της Τετάρτης, αυτή τη φορά στην Βηρυτό.

Ένοπλος άνοιξε πυρ έξω από την αμερικανική πρεσβεία στην πρωτεύουσα του Λιβάνου, ενώ σύμφωνα με τις πρώτες αναφορές ακολούθησε ανταλλαγή πυρών για αρκετή ώρα...

Ο στρατός του Λιβάνου και το προσωπικό ασφαλείας της πρεσβείας απάντησαν στα πυρά και ο δράστης φέρεται να είναι υπό κράτηση και τραυματίας.
